Daniel is running for City
Council to give citizens their voices back.
As a ship Captain, I navigated by transparency, mutual responsibility, and protecting my crew. Right now, Burnaby’s City Council is failing us-acting as a rubber stamp for the Mayor and provincial agencies instead of standing up for taxpayers. When thousands opposed the Gilmore project, officials sat in silence.
NEIGHBORHOODS FIRST:
End Loopholes: Require an open, 60-day notification and public town hall window for all provincial
housing/shelter projects.
Break the Silence: Force councillors to actively answer resident concerns during public sessions.
Fair-Share Planning: Stop disproportionately concentrating supportive facilities in working-class Burnaby
transit corridors.
I answer only to the neighborhoods of Burnaby. Let’s steer our city back to fairness.
