Biography

submitted by the candidate or their team
I was born in Hong Kong, while my formative childhood years were spent in North Vancouver and Maple Ridge. The Vancouver, Hastings-Sunrise area has been my home area for 35 years. I am a parent of two high school daughters.

I earned undergraduate degrees in marine biology and elementary education, and a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration, all from the University of British Columbia. I teach a lower intermediate, multi-aged class in the Surrey. I am active in coaching and sponsoring extracurricular activities, leading school committees, and I have been involved in some capacity with the Surrey Teacher's Association and the BC Teacher's Federation.

Reason for running

submitted by the candidate or their team
I am proud to be running for TEAM for a Livable Vancouver — bringing practical leadership, listening to residents, and working together for a more livable Vancouver.

I’m running because I believe these public spaces need to be protected, properly maintained, and accessible and affordable for everyone.

I’m new to politics, but I believe good leadership begins with listening. I want to listen to residents, work collaboratively, and bring a practical, responsible approach to Park Board.

Ultimately, I want Vancouver to remain a city where everyone can enjoy great parks and recreation for generations to come.
