Biography

submitted by the candidate or their team
Contrarian, public policy champion, prolific writer. Fourth campaign for the riding now named Algonquin-Renfrew-Pembroke.

I have experience in various political parties and I intend to remain involved in party politics going forward. Political parties are fundamental to Westminster democratic systems. However, many political parties have closed themselves off to fresh ideas from millions of Canadians, nevermind ideas from myself. There is a time and place to support a non-party candidate when party institutions have become so poor at listening and taking national and global issues seriously.

I was raised in the Renfrew countryside. After completing elementary and high school education in Renfrew, I acquired an Honours Bachelor of Political Science from the University of Ottawa, later followed by a Master of Arts in Political Science from Carleton University. I also have a certificate from the University of Ottawa recognizing my studies of national security issues.

Reason for running

submitted by the candidate or their team
As with my prior campaigns, I am running on the principles of objectivity, integrity, and independence. The House of Commons is in need of more intellectual leadership, and I believe that Renfrew County is a friendly enough place to make that happen.
