My policies share a common goal of always putting students first by ensuring they have safe, inclusive and supportive, with the resources they need to succeed. This is imperative at time when classroom composite is complex.
I want to strongly advocate province wide for more public funding, and if the province needs to , 491 million from private school subsidies could be put to use in public education.
I will support thoughtful, responsible AI use in our schools, with clear guidelines that put student learning, privacy and critical thinking first.

Putting Students First
Every decision should support student success, well-being, and opportunity.
Ensuring all students feel safe, supported, and able to reach their potential.
Childcare
The district has expanded school based childcare from five to twelve programs increasing spaces to almost 500.
I promise to work the Province to continue and meet the needs of the parents in our District.

I am a long time Nanaimo resident, serving our community in a variety of leadership roles but now turning my passion back to Public Education and our children who are future.
I previously served as a School Trustee for Nanaimo-Ladysmith SD 68 from 1996 - 1999, President of Tourism Nanaimo in 2009, and on City Council from 2018-2022. I am a community advocate with broad experience and knowledge in governance, with a deep commitment to public education.
I believe good leadership starts with listening, bringing people together, and making thoughtful, evidence based decisions. This means a strong belief in inclusive, accessible education, and why I choose to seek a seat on the School Board once again.
I am passionate about Public Education, and want to advocate for more resources and add my experience and voice to the table to achieve even better outcome for students.
