Originally from Montreal, Michelle Lindsay now calls Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, home. She is a wife, mother, entrepreneur, health and wellness advocate, and dedicated community volunteer. She is currently the Vice President of the Cole Harbour Business Association an association dedicated to enhancing the economic viability of Cole Harbour. She is the Past President of the Metro Business Association and Past Secretary of the Dental Technicians Association of Nova Scotia. Michelle owns and operates two businesses 2 health and wellness companies in Halifax Regional Municipality with focuses on improving the health of individuals. She is a graduate of McGill University’s Business School with a Bachelor of Commerce.
For over 20 years, Michelle worked in the dental industry, advising oral surgeons and dental professionals across Canada on surgical and restorative techniques. She has lectured extensively in this field and played a key role in implementing the Nova Scotia Sleep Apnea Dental Screening Program. She also collaborated in developing one of the first dental lab Diagnostic Treatment Planning Departments in Atlantic Canada, enhancing patient satisfaction while increasing clinical treatment offerings.
Having lived in Vancouver, Toronto, and Halifax/Dartmouth, Michelle's personal journey has shaped her passion for health advocacy. Her mother’s battle with MS sparked her dedication to supporting individuals with disabilities and physical impairments. Later, while briefly consulting within the funeral industry, she was struck by how many deaths could have been prevented with healthier lifestyle choices. This realization drove her to focus on improving wellness programs, particularly for mature adults in Nova Scotia.
Michelle is the mother of 3 amazing and independent children. As a Canadian patriot, she believes freedom is not to be taken for granted. As her father, mother, grandfather, uncles served in the Canadian Forces, she believes she has a duty to continue ensuring a free and prosperous nation for her children and their future generations and create a nation so every Canadian has the opportunity to thrive, prosper and leave their legacy.
