Kimberley Guiry is a Langford Councillor, tradeswoman and an Environmental Science graduate. She brings practical experience, community leadership and a commitment to fiscally responsible growth, thoughtful decision-making and building a vibrant, welcoming Langford for everyone.

From an early age, Kimberley’s family instilled in her a love of community and a desire to make the world a better place. From her background in Environmental Science and competitive rowing, to earning a Red Seal in joinery and raising her family in Langford, her diverse experiences have taught her the value of practical, hands-on problem-solving.

Since being elected to Langford Council in 2022, she has worked hard to modernize the city while keeping a sharp focus on fiscal accountability. Hearing the real concerns of residents facing tough tax environments, she is committed to balancing the initiatives that build community and make people feel connected, with cost discipline; ensuring Langford remains a place where families can afford to stay and thrive for years to come.

Reason for running

submitted by the candidate or their team
Four years ago, I ran because Langford was growing fast without plans and direction. I am running this term to move forward with a city where we consider the needs of today without compromising the future and people are at the heart of every decision at the council table.

What I’m fighting for:

A city that plans for tomorrow

  1. Stable taxation and financial resiliency
  2. Protecting our natural assets/parks
  3. Proactive investment in public safety
  4. Long term vision on infrastructure

A community where you belong

  1. Building community through sports, arts, culture and placemaking
  2. Streets that feel good to be on, and a city people want to explore
  3. Connected communities attract skilled neighbours ready to give back

A city that works for you

  1. Transportation options to meet diverse needs
  2. Supporting youth with safe routes, arts, and sports
  3. Housing opportunities that meet needs
  4. Supporting local business at every stage of growth
  5. A government that works hard to be efficient and effective
  6. Easier access to government information
