Freddy Rawji was born and raised in Port Moody and graduated from Port Moody Secondary School as the 2010 valedictorian. After earning a BSc in Economics from the University of Victoria, he built a career in recruitment focused on the engineering and construction management sectors.

In 2018, Freddy joined RAM Consulting and helped the company scale from 15 to 100 people as it delivered one of Metro Vancouver’s largest industrial projects, supplying aviation fuel to YVR. He also launched RAM’s electric vehicle charging infrastructure design service.

In December 2020, Freddy founded Torus Talent, a recruitment and leadership consulting firm that specializes in technical talent. In under six years, he has grown it to 20 headcount and $5 million in annual revenue, working with some of BC’s largest companies as well as start-ups.

Freddy is passionate about making BC a better place to do business. His own path has convinced him that small businesses are best placed to innovate and create high-paying jobs, and that a stronger economy is what pays for the social services British Columbians rely on.

He is running with CentreBC because he believes the other parties are rowing in opposite directions, while most British Columbians are in the middle. Freddy believes in progress, but in progress that is thought through and guided by science and data, not political ideology.
